Block Party Tournament Previews -
Game boxes are linked to the different Company sites:  Newcomers are welcomed as we will have a demo before the start of each tourney if necessary.
Eurogames that make up the Euro Ironman Tourney that will be played at the 2010 National Block Party!  The winner will be the player that acquires the most points after all the scheduled events take place.

FAB: The Bulge - GM: Bill Beswick, IN
A single elimination tournament that begins on Friday evening.  Players will play the tournament scenario included in the game.  FAB delivers an exciting new blend of units and decisions to the block game genre: your forces are a mixture of wooden blocks and die-cut counters. This blend allows players to face tough command decision choices in a fresh new way. FAB: The Bulge is GMT Games' fast-playing wargame representing the last major offensive by the Germans in the west in WW II, the Battle of the Bulge. The tounament scenario from C3i will be used, with typical playing time being about 2.5 - 3 hours.
Hammer of the Scots - GM: Charles Stucker, IN
Players will compete in a single elimination tournament that begins on Saturday morning.  Players will bid to play the Scots (which is a departure from the past) bidding the numbers of blocks you are willing to add to the initial English Levy.  We will be using the Braveheart scenario.
Crusader Rex - GM: Scott Bowling, IN
This is a single elimination tournament that will begin Friday at noon.  Players will bid the number of blocks to add to the Franks initial draw to play the Saracens.  This is a game that features many decisions on wether to siege, storm, harry or to invoke the dreaded knights charge. 
War of 1812 - GM: Mike Sims, IN
This is a free form tournament that requires players to play three games against three different players.  The tournament begins Friday evening and ends Sunday at noon. Players will bid to play the US by bidding the number VP's added to the British total at the end of 1812 & 1813.  Players may play either the first or second edition in any round except the finals.  The finals will be on Sunday afternoon.
Commands & Colors - GM: Mike Updike, KY
This is a free form tournament that begins friday morning and ends by Sunday at noon.  Players may play mutually agreed to scenarios and choose sides.  Raphia is the default scenario.  Players must play at least three games against at least three different opponents.  The finals are Sunday afternoon.
1960: Making of the President - GM: Ric Manns, IN
This is a single elimination tournament.  Players will bid for sides by bidding blocks to be placed in the draw bag.  The tourney begins Friday evening.
Friedrich - GM: Karsten Klint, OH
A Single elimination event where the top four players advance to a final.  Round 1 begins Saturday evening at 6:00 pm.  Players are encouraged to bring copies of their games.  We had to turn away players last year as we did not have enough copies.
Settlers of Catan - GM: Craig Sprinstuble, KY
Players will play in a game with the winners recieving 5 points for winning a game and 3 for finishing second on that board.  Third place will take a single point from each board.
Puerto Rico - GM: David Burris
Puerto Rico players will play in a four - five player games that begins Saturday after Carcassone.  Players will be assigned to seats randomly.  Winners of each board will get 5 points, second place 3 and 1 point for third.
Carcassone - GM: Floyd Resler, OH
Players will play in 4-5 player games.  The winners will recieve 5 points, second will get 3 points and 1 for third place.  This will also be the tie breaker if players end the competition tied.
Hellenes - GM: Kevin Rohrer, OH
Players will compete in a single elimination tournament beginning Saturday morning.  Players will randomly choose sides and we will release the name of the scenario later as more play takes place in the game.
Richard III - GM: Ric Manns, IN
The Wars of the Roses comes to life in this quick playing block game from Columbia Games and designer Jerry Taylor.  Players will bid discards to play the Yorkists.  This is a Single Elmination Tournament that will begin on Sunday Morning.
Liberty - GM:
This is a Single Elmination tournament that will begin Saturday afternoon.  Players will bid VP's to play the American side.  This is a great game on the American Revolution.  The game features combat all over the original colonies and the West Indies.  Units include leaders, infantry, dragoons & fleets.
Demos - The following games will be Scheduled Demos at the National Block Party.  There is unlimited open gaming, but these games have been scheduled.
